A: Although in some case MultiVideo may bypass the firewall, even though there is a firewall setup rule. We strongly suggest that customers may NOT need to open firewall ports initially. You may try to run on a firewall unfiltered network environment or on a indenpendent ADSL / DSL network until the test result is satisfied. If you have encountered any problem in video or audio connections ( Error Message : Fail to connect to NAT server ) , please ask your network administrator to open the following firewall ports in order to run MultiVideo functionally. The reason why we shall open some specific ports is like that we open a window for video or audio data transmission. For examle, this theory also used in Email - Port 25 and WWW - Port 80.

Q: I'm a client software user, and there is a firewall within our company's network environment,, What shall I do in order to use MultiVideo Client Software?

kind of firewall or IP share setup within the network environment may
block the two way communication signals or packets. Although in some

Q: How can I use the Recording function?

A: There is a Recording functon in MultiVideo Client software. Users may click the "Record" button during the conference, thus, MultiVideo could record Voice and Multimedia board simultaneously. Users may replay and use this file as a meeting record.

Operation Process : Click Record → Enter a File Name → Start Recording → EndRecording.

Q: How can a Room Master control the meeting process?
A: A room master could give talking or Multimedia board right to each participent. Refer to the user list window, the room master shall with a red sign, and normally he/ she could control each attendee by tick the right for each inidividual attendee.

Q: How can I switch the 17 users room to 10 users room?
A: Room master could log out to standby room first, and log in again by choosing 10 users room.

Q: How can I run the 1 to 1 private meeting function?
A: Please go back to the user list window in the standby room, and select /highlight the person that you want to invite. Then, you click the 1 to 1 invitation, this message is send to your friend. If he/she click accept your invitation, both of you go to the 1 to 1 video conference room.

Q: How can I initialize a Multi-User private meeting room?
A: Room Master could setup a password when creating a room or by clicking a "Property" button in the room in order to set password as a limitation. Therefore, the room become private.

Q: What's the screen resolution requirement?
A: MultiVideo need the screen resolution requirement setting as 1024 by 768 pixels. Please chnge your original settings( e.g. 800*600 , 640*480 ) .

Setup: Desktop → Mouse Click right button → Properties → Settings → Screen area change to 1024 by 768 pixels → Apply → OK

Q: Why other attendee's video does not show up?
A1: Each PC camera driver has its own different installation and setup process. If the driver is not installed completely, then, the camera may not function. Please check your device manager after installation and restart computer after installation. Generally, users shall install the driver/software first and install the hardware later.

A2: Sometimes the problem associated with default PC Camera driver can not be captured by MultiVideo Software, please logout and relogin again or restart your computer and login again.
A3: If there is a firewall to block or filter the network environment. You might have problem related to video or audio transmission.

Q: Why I can not hear voice from other users?
A1: Please double check your device manager first in order to indentify the audio device/sound card is working functionally. Some kind of PC Camera with build in Microphone function, please disable this this kind of microphone device and use the general Microphone (Line in). There are two concerns, first, build microphone is not good in quality and secondly, two microphone device may conflict when installed in your computer. Finally, restart your computer.
A2: Sometimes the problem associated with default audio driver can not be captured by MultiVideo Software, please logout and relogin again or restart your computer and login again.
A3: If there is a firewall to block or filter the network environment. You might have problem related to audio transmission.

Q: What are the supported format in multimedia board?
A1: Multimedia board support the following formats: Powerpoint (*.ppt, *.pot) , Word (*.doc) , Excel (*.xls) , Picture file (*.bmp, *.gif, *.jpg) ; Text files (*.txt, *.bat, *.ini, *.h, *.cpp) ; Adobe PDF files (*.pdf) , and Html files (*.html) , If you do have any specific format that you would like to presente on the multimedia board, please save as a supported format first and upload to this multimedia board.

Q: Does anti-virus software of personal firewall sortware a matter of interfering MultiVideo fucntion?
A1: Some brand of anti-virus software products do have personal firewall function, and therefore, block the ports for Video and Audio signal transmission (e.g. PC-cillin 2002 with a personal firewall function ). If there is a firewall blocking, you might see the following error message while login:
u Login failure - Fail to connect to NAT server
u Other users can not hear your voice or you can not hear the voice from them. - Voice Packet Blocking by firewall
u Other users can not see your video or you can not see video from them. - Video Packet Blocking by firewall
u Disconnected from server - Anti-virus or personal firewall suppose Video / Audio packet as hacker attacking, thus, block ports for Video/Audio transmission.
u Solution: Please reduce the safety level or close the personal firewall
